The hard work and perseverance of the West Central Science Olympiad teams paid off on February 22nd at the Regional Competition at WIU. The middle school team medaled in 2 of 4 events— Experimental Design and Ping Pong Parachute. The high school team consisted of Zeke Dabbs, Devon Duffie, Chris Ford, Lilah Fosmore, David Gaylord, Jayde Henry, Brianna Kinkaid, and Shaden Logan . They medaled in 7 of 9 events, including the Gravitational Vehicle (see attached video). A special thanks to Mr. Frank for sharing his expertise and shop.
Bella Cook, Teegan Rodeffer, and Drake Vancil received 2nd place medals in "Experimental Design". Teegan Rodeffer and Drake Vancil also received 1st place medals for the launch of their "Ping Pong Parachute". (See video attached)
