Update Regarding Coronavirus and Mandated School Closing

Good afternoon,
A few minutes ago, all Illinois Superintendents were invited to a conference call with Governor J.B. Pritzker. During this call, Governor Pritzker issued a directive that all Illinois schools are mandated to close to students Tuesday, March 17 - Monday, March 30. At this time, school will resume on Tuesday, March 31; however, that is subject to change based on further directives in the future. A letter with some information was sent home with all students today, emailed to our families, and posted on our District Facebook page. Additional information will come home either later this weekend or on Monday regarding plans during this closing, but I want to get this announcement out to you as soon as possible so that you can begin to make plans for the care of your child or children during this closing. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We appreciate your support, understanding, and patience during these unprecedented times. Thank you! Have a great weekend and stay safe and healthy.
