Grinch Pays a Visit to WCEL

Physics Students Go Ballistic

  On November 15th, the high school physics students visited the physics department at Western Illinois University. Students conducted two experiments with the assistance of professors and graduate students. The experiments were indicative of college physics labs and used equipment unavailable at the high school level. WCMS Door Decorating Contest

The students and teachers at the middle school participated in a door decorating contest. Kindergarten Catapults

Loud cries of wonder were heard in the kindergarten classrooms at West Central Elementary recently. Students made popsicle stick catapults and then tried them out by shooting marshmallows around the classroom.  The activity began with students listening to the story Mother Bruce by Ryan T. Casey State Bank Talks About Credit

Mary Grace Carlson from Casey State Bank came to speak with the Consumer Education and Coop Classes at WCHS on December 7, 2017.  Mrs. Carlson talked with the students about how important a credit score is and what information is used to figure a credit score.  She also discussed how a credit score is used in the borrowing process,  Casey State Bank has sponsored budget program called Banzai for the Consumer Education . . .
