Students at West Central 3rd grade have been learning the theme “Choose Kind” this school year. This year, instead of doing a Christmas gift exchange, the 3rd grade students brought in items to donate to the Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst. Items donated included soft blankets, fuzzy socks, puzzle books, toiletry items, calendars, stationary, and much more! The classes went above and beyond and donated numerous items to give to the residents of the nursing home. Students also made cards to brighten the spirits of the residents. What a wonderful example of giving to others this holiday season!
