On Saturday, May 13, 2017, the West Central Softball team traveled to Alexis, IL for a tournament. They had two special fans in attendance for the games, Lauren Mayberry and Justin Long. The late Dr. Paul Good and his wife Cathy Good have been host parents to several foreign exchange students over the years. In 2004-2005, they hosted Lauren Mayberry from Scotland. Lauren came back to Henderson County to visit Ms. Good this past weekend and to celebrate the graduation of Ms. Good’s granddaughter, Madison Benge. Lauren is currently the lead singer in the band known as Chvrches. She is dating Justin Long, who is best known for his acting roles in Dodgeball and Jeepers Creepers. Although West Central didn't walk away winning the tournament, they have memories from that tournament that will last a lifetime.
