This year, sophomore students in ENG II have volunteered to read with elementary students. One day a week (either Fridays or Mondays) the sophomores show up to their assigned classrooms and either read to or listen to elementary students, instead of going to their English II class. This opportunity allows our younger students to see the importance of reading and practice important reading skills, while it allows our high school students . . .
Kindergarten will be collecting pennies for the next three weeks, 1/14-2/1. We will be collecting the pennies to help us count to 100 by ones and tens. The pennies will be donated to the Henderson County Library so they can purchase things for the children’s library. West Central Elementary Welcome to West Central Elementary, home to approximately 390 Pre-K through 5 th grade students.
