On Monday, March 18, 2019 West Central High School hosted the Lincoln Trail Conference Art Show. The show was held at the Huff Athletic Center at Monmouth College. Nine schools from the district were in attendance with over 200 art pieces on display in 33 categories. West Central submitted 22 artworks and received 6 ribbons for the day. Aryanne Westfall placed first in the following three categories: Computer Graphics, Acrylic Paint - Abstract, and Acrylic Paint - Portrait and Figure. Logan King took home a second place ribbon for his Computer Graphics project. A second place ribbon was awarded to Johanna Sterett for her Mixed Media Freestanding Sculpture piece. Finally, Harley Hale received a third place ribbon for her sand art entry. In addition to displaying artwork, the students went on a guided tour of the science and art departments at Monmouth College where they participated in a variety of S.T.E.A.M. activities. We are very proud of their hard work and accomplishment leading up to this event.
