Senior Spotlight - May 19

Courtney is the focus of today's WCHS Senior Spotlight.

When asked about her favorite class at WCHS, Courtney had a hard time deciding, "I can't pick just one favorite class; it's actually a three way tie! I always enjoyed Mr. Boyle's classes. I was always laughing and having a good time there while learning tons. Any class with Mr. Gittings was time well spent. I mostly enjoyed when we bred rabbits and raised baby chicks in the Ag shop, and being able to build an outdoor house for my cats in the winter. I would also say any Mrs. A's class. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be sewing my family masks or working on projects to keep me occupied during this quarantine period!"

Now that she has graduated from WCHS, Courtney plans to attend Black Hawk East as an Ag transfer student to start pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.

She had this advice to share with WCHS underclassmen: "These four years are only what you make of them! Don't be afraid to be yourself, get involved, be kind to all, and do what makes you happy. It all goes by incredibly fast and before you know it, it's over."

From all of us at WCHS and the entire West Central School District #235, we are proud of you Courtney!
