Pfizer Vaccine Available for 12+ Age Groups
West Central Middle School and High School Families,
On May 10, 2021 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded the emergency use authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to include adolescents 12 through 15 years of age. The FDA originally issued on December 11, 2020 for administration in individuals 16 years of age and older.
Students 12 years of age and older are now eligible to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The Henderson County Health Department will be in charge of conducting the vaccine clinic for interested individuals. Also, the Henderson County Health Department is offering the vaccine to any student's parent(s)/guardian(s) at the same time and location as the student.
We are asking anyone 12 years of age or older who would like to receive this vaccine to complete and submit the form found at the following link: (https://forms.gle/
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires two doses approximately 21 days apart. Students under 18 years of age must have parent permission to receive this vaccination. Attached please find a Fact Sheet regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
