Career Day 2019

WCHS was very busy on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2019 with over 40 speakers visiting from the area to talk to students about their careers.  All WCHS students and also the 8th graders from WCMS were able to listen to four different speakers in the times provided. Some of the bits of information we heard from the presenters included:  "anything worth having is worth taking a chance on", "do something you love", "do the research, job shadow, find out what you don't like..., it is as important as what you love", "understand the job requirements", and "be brave, believe in yourself".  Career areas represented the major career clusters of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Architecture and Construction, Finance, Health Science, Service, Military, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Energy, and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. In addition to speakers on specific careers, there were some sessions on Career Planning, Online and Dual Credit Classes, and 2 year and 4 year school choices.

We know it is hard for people to get away from their jobs and really appreciate the time our speakers took to come share their career information with us.
