The West Central High School Drama Dept. will be performing the dramatic classic, The Outsiders, Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, November 23 at 2:00 pm on the WCHS stage in Biggsville.
The Outsiders, as adapted by Christopher Sergel from the book by S.E. Hinton, centers on Ponyboy Curtis, a young “greaser” growing up in 1960s Tulsa, who faces constant tension and division between his working-class gang and the wealthier “Socs.” As he wrestles with issues of identity, loyalty, and class, Ponyboy forms unexpected connections and begins to see past the surface of his rivals. Throughout, the play explores the bonds between friends, the struggle to belong, and what it means to stay true to oneself in a world that often forces harsh decisions.
