World Read Aloud Day 2020
There were some wonderful visitors at West Central on Wednesday, February 5th to celebrate World Read Aloud Day. In the morning, the kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students were treated to high school students who came and read aloud to them. A big thanks to Anita Smith, Mrs. Alexander and her terrific group of volunteers.
During the afternoon, children’s author, Anne Grall Reichel, visited the school. She read aloud her book, The United Forest of Kind, and talked about her experiences with writing and editing the book. She also brought copies of her book for all the classroom teachers to add to their libraries.
