Educating students is a team effort. It takes every individual to provide a caring and nurturing environment in which all students can learn and be successful.
The Board of Education of West Central C.U.S.D. #235 encourages all citizens to show their appreciation to all support staff on the day designated for each.
WHEREAS,
communities nationwide are keenly aware of the importance and impact of support staff on children; and
WHEREAS,
support staff should be accorded high public esteem, reflecting the value the community places on public education; and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that support staff be recognized for this dedication and commitment to educating students; and
WHEREAS,
support staff open children’s minds to the magic of ideas, knowledge, and dreams; and
WHEREAS,
support staff keep American democracy alive by laying the foundation for good citizenship; and
WHEREAS,
support staff fill many roles, as listeners, explorers, role models, motivators, and mentors; and
WHEREAS,
support staff continue to influence us long after our school days are only memories;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the West
Central Community Unit School District #235 hereby proclaims:
