West Central Class of 2020 Senior Parade

May 12, 2020

Hello West Central Family and Community,

It is time for the West Central communities to rally around the West Central Class of 2020 and show them how much support they have here in Henderson County and how proud we are of all of them. Since we can't have the traditional graduation ceremony on Sunday like we had originally plan, we are going to have a Senior Celebration social distance style.  We hope all of Henderson County will join us in wishing our Seniors well as they move on to the next adventure in their life. On Sunday, May 17, 2020, our seniors will be celebrated in a Senior
Parade led by our local law enforcement, local fire departments, and our West Central administrators. Below is the parade route and estimated times.  Please keep in mind these times are only an estimation.  If you live along the route, please help us celebrate our Seniors by placing signs in your yard and/or coming outside of your house to wave at our graduates. Feel free to make signs wishing them well or sit in your vehicle and honk for our Seniors. Those of you who own businesses along the route, we invite you to decorate your windows. If you do not live along the route, please find a safe place to park in one of the towns on the route and watch the parade from inside your vehicle displaying signs and honking.  We want to celebrate our Seniors, but it is absolutely essential that we make safety our top priority and mandatory that everyone practice social distancing and stay in your vehicle. Graduates must stay inside their vehicles, so please do not run up to their vehicles.

Class of 2020,

Please be at the high school by 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.  The parade will start promptly at 2:00 p.m.  Wear your cap with tassel and gown. You must be driven in the parade by an adult driver who has been sheltering in place with you.  Only one graduate per vehicle is allowed. If you can safely attach your Senior yard sign to your vehicle, please feel free to do so. We will have three graduation programs, a Senior t-shirt, and a West Central Class of 2020 face mask to give each graduate. We anticipate the parade will last approximately 1.5 hours.  If you start the parade with us, you must finish the parade with us.
