Scholarship and College/Career Readiness Updates
These are updated regularly - please check periodically for new scholarships/information
January 11, 2022
For any first-year, full-time NEIU student who meets the requirements listed below, we are covering the costs of tuition beginning Fall 2022 after all federal, state, institutional, internal/external scholarships and grants have been applied.
NEIU For You Criteria
To be considered for NEIU For You, a prospective student must:
- Be an Illinois resident who attended an Illinois high school
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0
- Have an annual adjusted gross family income of $60,000 or less and family assets of $50,000 or less
- Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
(Undocumented students may complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid instead of FAFSA) - Be admitted to Northeastern as an incoming first-time, full-time freshman enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester

Some of these schools may be either requiring the vaccine or weekly testing. You will have to check with the school to verify.

All scholarships are also posted outside of the Counseling office (outside of the gym) and on the Class of 2022 Google Classroom.

Jacob Bouxsein Memorial

Qualifications: Enroll Full-time at a college or trade school. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA and provide proof.

Qualifications: 82 scholarships, but you can only receive one. Sara C. Andrews, Vincent O. Greene, William J. Kuhfuss are likely the only ones anyone would qualify for.
